[[RESEARCH ENRICHMENT START]]
Zone 6B: Start indoors very early because this Capsicum chinense variety needs a long warm season. Harden off and transplant after frost danger has passed and soil/weather are warm.
Germination: Warm seed-starting mix is important; germination slows sharply in cool soil.
Harvest: Harvest when pods reach mature red color. Use extreme care when handling.
Seed Saving: Peppers readily cross with other Capsicum varieties; isolate or bag blossoms for true-to-type seed.
Special Care: Extremely hot Capsicum chinense; wear gloves and avoid touching eyes or skin when handling fruit or seed. Needs a long warm season.
