[[RESEARCH ENRICHMENT START]]
Zone 6B: Start tiny alpine strawberry seed very early indoors. Established Fragaria vesca is perennial in Zone 6B.
Germination: Surface sow. Seed is tiny and germination can be slow and uneven. Maintain moisture without burying seed.
Harvest: Pick fully colored pale-yellow to cream berries when fragrant and soft-ripe.
Seed Saving: Collect seed from fully ripe fruit. Nearby Fragaria vesca plants may cross.
Special Care: Yellow Wonder is an alpine/woodland strawberry type. Protect container roots during severe winter freezes.
