[[RESEARCH ENRICHMENT START]]
Zone 6B: Plant after frost and warm soil. Wee-B-Little needs about 95 days to mature, so late-May or early-June planting provides ample time before the October 15 frost.
Germination: Warm soil is important. Start indoors only a few weeks before transplanting because cucurbits dislike root disturbance.
Harvest: Harvest when the miniature pumpkins are fully bright orange, rinds are hard and stems begin drying. Fruits average about 3-3.5 inches across and roughly 10-16 ounces.
Seed Saving: Wee-B-Little is open-pollinated Cucurbita pepo and crosses with other C. pepo pumpkins, zucchini, summer squash and ornamental gourds. Controlled pollination is needed for pure seed.
Special Care: Semi-bush plants need substantially less space than standard vining pumpkins, making this variety especially suitable for smaller gardens and large containers.
